You can see that I love orchids.
When I was about 12 years old, my Dad gave me my first Easter corsage.
It was a large purple Catalaya orchid. It was as large as my shoulder!
And I thought I was the cat's meow! You don't see them any more.
The current trend is Cymbidiums and miniature Phaleonopsis. I might guess that the Catalyas are a challenge for the home gardener.
I carried a lush bouquet of white Phaleonopsis orchids and Stefanotis with trails of variegated ivy on my wedding day.
