September

The hay fields are mowed.
The days are shorter, but the temperature is still very warm.
The humidity is in high gear.
The local farm stands are bountiful.
School buses start rolling fresh today.
Nervous little children begin a new school year.
The Summer didn’t exist for me.
It was a time of healing and reflecting.
Learning once again
to stand on my own two feet.
Take nothing for granted.
Enjoy the most simple gifts of life.
Spread Love.

Sunday

Ah, Sunday.
August.
And it’s breezy.
It’s quiet.
It’s my favorite time of day.
I hope there’s peace around the planet.
And plenty of love.
Hug the ones you’re with.

Mid Summer Dreams

There’s no flooding rainfall.
There’s no thunder.
Rainbows fill the sky.
Flowers bloom everywhere.
Birds sing their hearts out.
Gentle breezes guide them home.
Children laughing.
Families home together.
Joy is everywhere.

New Beginnings

The beaches are being restored.
The wanderes searching for lost treasures.
The sun poking her morning face.
The gentle waves soothing, cooling, restoring.
Enjoy this hot August day.
Love and hugs.

Roadside Surprise

I’m always so pleased to spot the unexpected.
On a walk earlier in the Spring,
I happened upon this little Clematis vine
just loving and
hugging a post.
It’s simplicity and color sparked joy!
It’s hot, so the Clematis are finished.
Now,
We welcome the Dahlias.
Stay cool.

Sand Art

I look forward to this day.
When I can dig my big toe
into the sand
and draw love.

When April becomes Mid-July

The blur of time.
From Spring to Summer.
Like a fast moving thunderstorm
pounding the earth,
a new day, a new breeze, a new bud.
A lesson of patience.
A lesson of Love.

Spring

I’m excited to plant Dahlias this year.
I think they’re becoming a  favorite flower.
To grow, to cut, to photograph.

Tuesday

A soft and gentle rain
 is falling this morning.
I can smell Spring
swelling.
Getting ready
to burst.
Getting ready
to blossom.
The little song birds
have discovered  their sweet voices once more.

Happy Tuesday!

For the Children

I read a post today that I’m sharing.

According to an artist in California,
high school students across America
are talking on message boards
making  April 20th
the day they all walk out of school.
And,
They won’t go back
until Congress updates the gun laws.
It’s their lives on the line.

Every child deserves to dream.
Every child deserves to love.

Baby Taylor Alice

Here she is!
Sweet baby, Taylor Alice!
Born in the middle of the night on a cold,
January 10th, in a little Wisconsin Village.
She's about to turn 1 month old,
and is enjoying life with her big sister
and her parents!
She's  lovable, adorable and as sweet as can be!
This photo is  the last one we took of her,
as we were saying our good bye’s,
and heading back home to NJ.

A precious little girl,
Taylor  is the newest little flower
in our family garden.
💖
We love you, sweet Taylor!

Happy February!

Phew!
January brought us a new, little bundle of love.
Sweet baby Taylor Alice.
We made the trip, and now we're back.
Despite the flu, the cold, the grey skies and barren trees,
our hearts are filled with January joy!

With love and hugs to Taylor.

Slow, but Steady

I’ve been in bed for a week!
The flu bug attacked me with a vengeance
but is finally letting go.
The days and nights have been so long.
I don’t like writing about illness.
I don’t enjoy reading about illness.
I’m finally on the mend,
and looking forward to getting back to myself.
I miss my life.

All of my good intentions
Of sharing photos of sweet Taylor Alice
Are on hold.
I’m bedridden with the FLU!

January Thaw

I'm hearing that it's going to be 60 degrees tomorrow!
The little birds will be thrilled!
They might even relax a little bit in between their nibbles.
I had a sweet black capped chickadee visit today,
bringing her good tidings.
She was absolutely precious!
Speaking of precious.....
Stay tuned!

With love and hugs!

Winter Friends

I love feeding and observing  the wild birds.
At the break of dawn,
when most other wildlife still sleeps,
the little birds begin their day.
 Tending to themselves,
they are
lovely in every way.
Energetic, happy, patient,
 determined, colorful,
And, most definitely, unique!
If you’re looking for some sweet company
during these frigid Winter months,
I encourage you to pick up a little bag
of black oil sunflower seeds,
sprinkle some within your view,
grab a cup of tea,
and you’ll be delightedi
to welcome your new friends.

Happy Friday!

Crater Lake

We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful part of NJ.
Just a short drive away,
Crater Lake offers the beauty
of northwest New Jersey’s
  forests, streams, wildlife,
peace, solitude,
hiking trails, fishing holes
and sunsets.
Take the Old Mine Road,
I’m sure you’ll agree.

Love and hugs.

Happy New Year!

Bitter cold, bone chilling January 1st, 2018.
I'm happy to see the little birds
 enjoying our discarded
Christmas tree!

It's pages are blank.
The book is called Opportunity
 and it's first chapter
is
 New Year's Day."
